**New Installation documentation in progress!
How do you feel a sense of belonging to and connection with the earth?
This is our fifth year at the park reimagining all the possibilities for a harmonious and embodied experience within the same space. The materials are repurposed steel frames and photo-based images printed on silk. This year’s installation focus is on shared gratitude and kindness, for nature and our communities. We believe we can create positive change and work towards taking care of one another and the Earth by bringing our collective voices together.
The silk remnants are from the past three installations on this site that were ripped and torn off by the wind.
We noticed last summer that people were finding the torn pieces on the ground and tying them to the steel frames. We were moved by the gesture and began to imagine a collaborative art piece where the ripped silk could be tied onto one frame. We'd like to invite you to tie a silk strip that you find or grab from the box to add to the community artwork. The space is a place for our collective voices to grow, merge, flourish, and be heard.
Earth Jazz: subtle tones to soothe your soul. If the forces of the earth are not cooperating, you may gently push the individual bells to create song. Stand close to feel the resonance, or sit and relax to listen. Be patient, as the tones diminish, they will continue to ring ever so softly for an extended time. Listen. Enjoy!
